China says won’t meddle in Afghanistan affairs

KABUL (Pajhwok): China’s Special Representative Yue Xiaoyong says his country respects Afghanistan’s sovereignty and will not interfere in its internal affairs.

He held out the promise at a meeting with Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) Ambassador to China Bilal Karimi, the embassy in Beijing wrote on its X handle.

It said the Chinese special envoy emphasised on his country’s respect for the national sovereignty of Afghanistan and non-interference in its internal affairs.

The two sides also discussed further expansion of political ties between Beijing and Kabul, economic connectivity with neighbours and regional countries, as well as other issues.
