KABUL (Pajhwok): Pakistani Ambassador Ubaid Ur Rehman Nizamani and Kandahar Governor Mullah Mohammad Shirin Akhund have discussed bilateral relations and a number of other topics.
During his visit to Kandahar, Nizamani met Mullah Shirin Akhund, who congratulated him on parliamentary elections and the establishment of a new government in Pakistan.
In a statement from his office, Akhund hoped the new government of Pakistan would maintain close relations with Afghanistan.
For his part, Nizamani said he would soon visit Pakistan and share the governor’s sentiments with the new foreign minister and other officials.
