KABUL (Pajhwok): Former president Hamid Karzai has once again called on the Islamic Emirate to allow girls to go to schools and universities so the country could progress and compete with other countries.
Soon after returning to power in 2021, the Islamic Emirate banned girls above the sixth grade from going to schools and then extended the ban to university education.
Karzai wrote on his X page: “The new academic year begins with the arrival of the new year (1403) and usually these days for our children, girls and boys are like Eid days to learn knowledge and thus serve . . .
