TRINKOT (Pajhwok): Fifty homes and shops have been damaged as a result of the past two-day continued rainfall in southern Uruzgan province, an official said on Thursday.

Haji Khalid, director Disaster Management Department, told Pajhwok Afghan News in the past two days of continued rainfalls 50 homes and shops have been destroyed and damaged in Trinkot, the capital city of southern Urzgan province, and some districts.

He said their survey showed that 30 homes and 20 shops had been damaged. A committee had been tasked to identify the financial losses of affected people, headed.

Meanwhile, people who suffered as a result of recent natural disasters demanded financial support.
