KABUL (Pajhwok): Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) supreme leader Maulvi Haibatullah Akhunzada says he will not take even a single step away from Islam.
Zabihullah Mujahid, chief spokesman of the IEA, also said that the supreme leader led the Eid prayer in the largest mosque of southern Kandahar province, which was attended by thousands of people.
In a voice message attributed to the IEA supreme leader regarding his Eid speech, received by Pajhwok Afghan News from the Department of Information and Culture of Kandahar.
He said Afghans never compromise on Islam because hundreds of thousands of Afghans sacrificed their lives in this way.
“I enforce Islamic sharia, but they tell me to accept my principles. I will not take even a step away from Islam.”
Akhundzada stressed the need for the implementation of Islamic and Sharia rules and asked all the members of the Islamic Emirate to continue their sacrifices even after the victory.
According to him, Afghans lived in hardships for 20 years, the “infidels” of the world had come here for misleading.
