LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): A woman died and three other people, including children, were wounded in a traffic accident in Lashkargah city, the capital of southern Helmand province, an official said on Sunday.
Maulvi Sher Mohammad Wahdad, deputy information and culture director, told Pajhwok Afghan News the accident took place in Ayoub Khan township after a motorcycle collided with a Mazda-type vehicle this morning.
He said a woman lost her life and three other people, including two children, were injured in the collision. The victims were on the motorcycle.
The driver of the Mazda-type vehicle has been arrested and would be referred to judicial organs after preliminary investigation.
