ZARANJ (Pajhwok): The Counter-Narcotics Department, on Thursday announced the launch of a drive to round up drug addicts in the capital of northwestern Nimroz province.
Counter-Narcotics Director Abdul Waseh Raihan told Pajhwok Afghan News the campaign to collect drug addicts in Zaranj kicked off today.
In the first phase, he said, 100 drug addicts had been rounded up. They will be referred to rehabilitation centres for treatment.
Raihan said the campaign would continue until all drug addicts were rounded up in the provincial capital
