KABUL (Pajhwok): A seven-day international exhibition of industrial products will commence in Kabul on May 12.
Mohammad Sabir Latifi, general director of Afghanistan International Exhibitions, said that the exhibition will mark the launch of ‘Industry Week’.
Industrialists and entrepreneurs from the private sector will showcase their products at 800 stalls at the exhibition, with 700 stalls belonging to Afghans.
Meanwhile, Sakhi Ahmad Payeman, first deputy head of Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce, said that Afghanistan’s industry sector significantly grew in recent years and had now reached self-sufficiency in 89 products.
There are currently more than 6,000 manufacturing factories in the country.
