GHAZNI (Pajhwok): Four electricity transformers at the cost of 19 million afs have been installed in the Nawabad locality of Ghazni City which would able 1,200 families to get electricity, an official said on Monday.
Salahuddin Tawakuli, head of the Da Afghanistan Breshna Shirkat (DABS), told Pajhwok Afghan News each transformer has the capacity to transfer 400 Kilowatt electricity, all four transformers would provide 1.6 MW of electricity to 1,200 families at the same time.
DABS said efforts were underway to provide electricity to the entire Ghazni City.
Residents expressed happiness over the installation of the transformer and asked the government for more support.
