Family problems force Sar-i-Pul man to take own life

SAR-I-PUL (Pajhwok): A 20-year-old man has allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself to death in northern Sar-i-Pul province, an official said on Monday.

Governor’s spokesman Maulvi Habibullah Masroor told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Tajri village of Balkhab district on Sunday.

He cited domestic problems behind the extreme step, saying security forces were investigating the case.

Religious scholars say suicide is forbidden in Islam.
