MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Uzbekistan police have handed over the body of an Afghan who drowned in Amu River to security officials in northern Balkh province.
The Balkh police in a statement said the Uzbek police handed over the body of an Afghan to Afghan security officials in Shortapa district of Balkh province.
The statement said the deceased person had gone missing from Chakar village in Kaldara district a month ago and Uzbek police found his body today in the Amu River near Shortapa district.
It said the man’s body was handed over to his family.
