Heavy rain, flashfloods predicted in 5 provinces

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation (MoTCA) has predicted more rainfall and subsequent flooding in five provinces on Saturday.

MoTCA wrote on X that heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and flashfloods were likely in Badakhshan, Takhar, Kunduz, Baghlan and Samangan provinces, including areas related to northern and southern Salang pass.

It predicted the possible amount of rain between 15 and 25 millimeters.

MoTCA also said western, central and southern provinces and areas related to Salang pass could experience relatively strong and dusty winds with possible speed between 30 and 80 kilometers per hour.
