Nearly 1,700kg narcotics destroyed in Farah

FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Security forces have destroyed poppy crop on 46.5 acres of land and seized 1,681 kilograms of narcotics in western Farah province.

In a statement, the police headquarters in Farah said that security forces had carried out operation against narcotics in the Parchaman district last week.

It said about 46.5 acres of land was cleared of poppies by security forces during the operations in Dokhari, Rodai Jin, Khashrud areas of the district.

Separately, security forces have seized and destroyed 1,681 kilograms of various narcotics in Bakwah district over the past 24 hours, the statement said.

So far, the banned crop has been destroyed on hundreds of acres of land in the country.
