KABUL (Pajhwok): The Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has announced plans to set up 10 health centres in remote parts of Afghanistan.
The new initiative aims to provide primary healthcare and enhance maternal and child health services for more than 250,000 people annually, QRCS said in a statement.
The development announced by Director of Relief & International Development Division at QRCS Dr Mohamed Salah Ibrahim during his visit to Afghanistan to inspect progress on humanitarian projects being implemented by the QRCS office there.
Recently, the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatar for the treatment for 169 children with congenital heart defects (CHDs).
