HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Security forces have arrested five individuals who wanted to kidnap a moneychanger in western Herat province, an official said on Thursday.
Police spokesman Abdullah Insaf told Pajhwok Afghan News five people while kidnapping a money changer were arrested by security forces in Kushk-i-Rubat Sangi district today.
He said five kidnappers were arrested who wanted to kidnap a money changer from Kushk-i-Rubat Sangi district today (Thursday).
Abdul Rahman Rahmani, deputy administrative chief of the district, also confirmed the incident.
He said security forces seized three pistols and a Kalashnikov from the kidnappers.
The detainees had confessed to their crime, the official claimed, giving no further details.
