PARAKH (Pajhwok): A young man died after drowning in a river while swimming in this capital city of central Pajnsher province, police said on Wednesday.
Police spokesman Abidullah Auqab told Pajhwok the incident happened in Bazarak area yesterday afternoon, the second day of Eidul Adha.
He said the victim, a resident of Rokha district, drowned while swimming in the Panjshir river and lost his life.
He added security forces were able to retrieve the body.
