Heavy rains, flash floods likely in 8 provinces

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation (MoTCA) has predicated heavy rains, windstorms and flash floods in eight provinces of the country.

MoTCA wrote on X handle heavy rains could possibly unleash flash floods today (Wednesday) in Badakhshan, Nuristan, Kunar, Laghman, Nangarhar, Logar, Khost and Paktia.

It said the amount of rain is predicted between 15 and 30mm in different areas.

“There is possibility of relatively strong winds with dust in western, southern and central provinces, including Salanng.”
