PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Construction work has been launched on six-kilometer road in Pul-i-Khumri city, the capital of northern Baghlan province, an official said on Saturday.
Mayor Maulvi Abdul Latif Mazlom said the road would cost 60 million afghanis from the municipality’s development budget and would take eight months to complete.
He said the road would be widened and blacktopped.
Meanwhile, Haji Saleh, an inhabitant of Pul-I-Khumri, the provincial capital, asked the people to support the municipality’s development schemes.
He said many traffic accidents occurred on this road and its construction would help prevent mishaps.
