MAIDAN SHAHR/GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): A woman was killed and six other people sustained injuries when their vehicles hit leftover landmines in southern Ghazni and central Wardak provinces, police said Saturday.
In a statement, the Maidan Wardak police headquarters said a leftover landmine tore through a 580-passenger bus in Tup Dasht area of Sayed Abad district at 8:00pm on Friday.
A woman was killed and four others injured in the incident were shifted to hospital.
Meanwhile, Ghazni police spokesman Abu Khalid Sarhadi told Pajhwok Afghan News an old landmine hit a Mazda-type vehicle, critically injuring the driver.
The blast took place in Askarkut market of Qara Bagh district today morning.
