FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Construction work has been launched on a 12-metre long bridge that will cost seven million afghanis in Ferozkoh, the capital of western Ghor province, an official announced on Sunday.
Deputy government Mullah Rohullah said the bridge was being constructed in Dehn Jarkandiwal area of the provincial capital with financial support of the Emergency Committee in cooperation with Deputy Prime for Economic Affairs office.
He believed a large number of problems of residents, especially shopkeepers, would be solved with completion of the bridge.
Niamatullah, an inhabitant of Ferozkoh, said flash floods always damaged shops, government properties and residential homes every year.
He o hoped people’s problems would be addressed with construction of the bridge.
Flash floods caused heavy financial and life losses in the province two months ago.
