KABUL (Pajhwok): EU Chargé d'Affaires Raffaella Iodice has assured continued cooperation and assistance to Afghans and added they were trying to fulfill promises held out at the third Doha meeting.

In a statement, Prime Minister’s Office said deputy prime minister Maulvi Abdul Kabir met with EU Chargé d'Affaires Raffaella Iodice on Wednesday.

The EU diplomat assured the continuation of cooperation and assistance to Afghans and said the EU was trying to fulfill its promises.

She said the EU was ready to help Afghanistan advance its education system and school’s restoration.

She said Afghanistan’s situation and development were improving and they were trying to share the actual situation with EU member countries.

Maulvi Abdul Kabir called UE charge d’Affaires mission useful in the country and said the contribution of the EU in the field of humanitarian aid was significant.

The IEA has acted upon its commitments with the world and currently the cultivation of narcotics had been reduced to zero, administrative corruption had ended, drug addicts were under treatment and no one was at risk in Afghanistan.

Maulvi Kabir praised the diplomatic presence of the EU in Kabul and said the IEA hoped promises made at the third Doha meeting would be implemented as soon as possible. Raffaella should share the real situation of IEA with the world and EU officials.
