Pasture dispute between Ghazni nomad tribes resolved

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): A dispute over a pasture between two nomad tribes has been resolved in Ghazni province, thanks to mediation of local officials and tribal elders.

The dispute between Lalzo and Abdulwalo tribes was resolved in Nawar district, , Borders and Tribal Affairs department officials said.

Borders and Tribal Affairs director Maulvi Jan Mohammad Momin told Pajhwok Afghan News the Kochi tribes had been fighting over the pasture and grazing land.  Luckily the dispute did not led to any casualties to the two sides.

Although, the Badin Khel tribe claims ownership of the disputed pastures, but after seeing credible documents of about 63 years ago, the grazing places had been divided among Lalzo tribe by former king of Afghanistan Mohammad Zahir Shah.

One of the mediators, tribal elder Nasrullah said that both tribes will be living in a brotherly environment and no one has the right to take any aggressive action against the other party.

Nasrullah thanked the officials and other tribal leaders for their efforts about resolving the dispute.

Earlier, a 16 years old enmity between Hazaras and Kochis was also settled with the help of local officials and tribal leaders in the same district.
