KABUL (Pajhwok): Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar viewed the opening of Termez International Trade Centre as a new chapter of cooperation between Tashkent and Kabul.
The Termez International Centre was inaugurated today (Thursday) in the presence of Baradar, Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister Abdulla Nigmatovich Aripov, Azerbaijan Prime Minister Ali Asadov as well as high-ranking officials from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
The deputy dreamier told the inauguration ceremony the opening of this center marked a significant leap towards joint commercial ties
He hoped the center will enhance investment opportunities, commercial relations and creation of job opportunities in both countries.
He emphasized the facility was not merely a trade center but a new chapter of friendship, cooperation, and partnership between the two countries, laying the groundwork for long-term prosperity and development for their citizens.
Highlighting the importance of the centre, the deputy premier hoped the centre would facilitate the production, processing, and export of goods, making it easier to access regional and global markets.

He added: “This will not only positively impact the growth of economic relations between the two countries but would also establish the center as a key economic hub and commercial gateway for Central and South Asian nations.”
According to him, this center will create essential facilities and opportunities for Afghan and Uzbek traders, enabling them to find suitable markets for their products and actively contribute to the region's economic development.
He said the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) desired positive economic and trade ties with all countries based on its economy-focused policies.
