BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): At least 17 people have been injured as a result of a traffic accident in central Bamyan province, an official said on Thursday.
Police spokesman Mohammad Khwani Rasa told Pajhwok Afghan News the accident took place on Wednesday when a flying coach-type van veered off the road and overturned in the Kamarak area of Yakawalang No.1.
He said 17 people were injured in the accident, linked to reckless driving.
He added security forces rushed to the scene and evacuated the injured to Bamyan Civil Hospital, where three of the wounded are said to be in critical condition.
