KABUL (Pajhwok): A clean drinking water supply network has been put into service after its completion in the Sarobi district of central Kabul province.
The project, inaugurated yesterday, consumed 41 million afghanis and benefitted hundreds of families.
The Media Office of the Kabul Governor’s House wrote its X page that the project was put into use in the presence of senior government officials and area residents.
The governor of Kabul expressed his happiness at the project’s inauguration and said: “The people of Sarobi district are jihad-loving people and this project is the first vital project executed after a long time.”
He added the interim government was committed to fulfilling its commitments in the implementation of development and infrastructure projects.
He mentioned the launch of practical work TAPI project and the Kabul-Ghazni second lane road in this regard.
The water supply project was funded by UNICEF office and Kovar organization and it benefitted nearly three hundred families.
