JALALABAD (Pajhwok): The Agriculture and Livestock department of eastern Nangarhar province says it denied entry to 16 tons of low quality corn from Pakistan at Torkham crossing.
Nangarhar Agriculture Department spokesman Ajmal Subhani told Pajhwok that a joint delegation and the employees of his department returned back 16 tons of low quality corn to Pakistan.
He added ‘Shahzada Standard Feed Mill’ had imported the corn for use in animal feed, but the authorities took timely action and returned it.
He said one-tenth of five tons of damaged soybeans were also destroyed by the Torkham Quarantine staff of the Department . . .
