Amsterdam gives Afghanistan 15m euros in aid

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Netherlands has contributed EUR 15 million (US$16.1 million) to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund, says the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA).

OCHA wrote on its X platform: “#OCHAthanks #Netherlands for a new contribution of EUR 15 million to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund for 2024”.

“As the third largest contributing donor, the Netherlands has given the Fund over EUR 89 million since 2016,” it added.

Earlier, the UK contributed six million pounds to Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund on September 12.
