KABUL (Pajhwok): An Iran-based human rights organisation claims Iranian border guards have shot dead a large number of Afghan migrants near the Kulgon border area of Saravan city.
Haalvsh, citing two eyewitnesses, reported that at least 260 Afghan migrants were killed while attempting to cross into Iran. However, this event has not yet been confirmed by other sources.
Many others were injured after Iranian forces opened fire on them, the organisation said, without going into details.
Neither the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) nor Iranian authorities have commented so far on this tragic event involving Afghan refugees.
