10 Pakistani border forces killed in militant attack

KABUL(Pajhwok)): Ten Pakistani soldiers have been killed in an overnight militant attack on their post in Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Reuters quoted three senior police officials as saying that armed men attacked a border police post in Dera Ismail Khan last night, killing 10 soldiers.

Officials told Reuters on condition of anonymity that the slain soldiers belonged to border forces.

According to Reuters, the Pakistani Taliban movement ‘TTP’ has claimed responsibility for the attack.

The Pakistani military has not yet commented on the attack.
