5-member robbery gang detained in Herat

HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Security forces have detained a group of five professional thieves in the 10th district of western Herat province, an official said on Sunday.

Police spokesman Ghulam Nabi Nabizada said the group of five professional thieves was busted during an operation today.

The arrested suspects were involved in stealing mobile phones and vehicles from people, he added.

Three motorcycles and other stolen items were recovered from the suspects currently under investigation.

The police spokesman said these stolen vehicles were handed over to their owners.
