KABUL (Pajhwok): The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) says Australia has contributed $1.3 million to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund (AHF).
In a post on X, OCHA wrote: “#OCHAthanks #Australia for an additional contribution of AUD 2 million (US$1.3 million) to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund for 2024”.
“Your support helps humanitarian partners reach the most vulnerable people with lifesaving assistance,” it added.
According to information, the OCHA announced that $60.3 million fund is needed to provide emergency aid packages and shelter in Afghanistan for the upcoming winter.
