KABUL (Pajhwok): Nine Afghans have been released from jails in Pakistan, a statement from the Afghan Consulate in Karachi said on Friday.
Nine Afghans were freed from different jails in Pakistan’s Sindh province following efforts of the Consul General, the statement said.
Due to the non-availability of legal documents, these prisoners were released from jails in Malir, Haidarabad, Khirpur, Sakkar and Larkhana after completing their jail terms.
Afghan Consul General in an Audio message said: “Not more than 35 Afghans are imprisoned in Sindh, efforts are underway for their release.”
He said Afghans with legal documents face no issue in Sindh and the situation was normal.
