TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): A football premier league, featuring eight teams, kicked off in Tirinkot, the capital of central Uruzgan province on Monday, an official announced.
Football Federation Director Miza Mohammad Amirzai said the league got underway today and will continue for a month.
He said: “The wining team would represent the province in the country level competitions.”
Meanwhile, football players are also happy over the league, calling for organising more such events.
Ismatullah, a player from Maiwand team, said: “I wish our team win this tournament and we represent our province in football tournaments on the country level.”
The matches are being played at Tirinkot football stadium.
