JALALABAD (Pajhwok): The construction of two health centers has been completed and inaugurated at a cost of $112,000 in the Rodat and Spinghar districts of eastern Nangarhar province.
According to a statement from the public health department, the centers were built with financial support from Save the Children.
During the inauguration ceremony, Maulvi Aminullah Sharif, Director of the Public Health Department, thanked Save the Children for their partnership in establishing these vital health facilities, which will provide essential services to local communities.
Mohammad Rahim Danish, a representative from Save the Children, confirmed that each health center was built with an investment of $56,000.
The newly constructed centers are equipped with separate consultation rooms for men and women, maternal and child health services, delivery rooms, vaccination facilities, and departments for nutrition and psychological counseling.
These centers will offer free medical services to patients, and an ambulance will be available for transporting critically ill individuals.
Residents welcomed the new facilities and expressed hope that these health centers will help address their ongoing healthcare challenges.
