KABUL (Pajhwok): As many as 452,031 metric tonnes of goods were transported through four railroads last month, an official said on Sunday.
Ministry of Public Works spokesman Mohammad Ashraf Haqshenas wrote on X the goods were transported in cargo trains from October 22 to November 20.
He said 336,233 tons were moved through Hairatan, 40,788 tons via Aqina, 70,780 tons through Torghandi and 4,229 tons through Khawaf-Herat port, totaling 452,031 metric tons.
Fuel, non-fuel, and other goods were exported and imported during the month.
According to the spokesman, the goods included 1,957 metric tonnes of transit goods and exports, mostly dried fruits and pomegranate juice.
