KABUL (Pajhwok): The World Health Organisation (WHO) has inaugurated a 50-bed drug rehabilitation centre for women and children in northern Balkh province.
The centre was opened by WHO Regional Director Hanan Balkhy during his visit to the province on Sunday, the organisation wrote on its X handle.
It said about 620 women and 120 children would be treated at the centre in next 10 months. WHO will provide necessary assistance to addicts.
According to the Ministry of Interior (MoI), as many as 122,000 addicts have been rehabilitated across the country over the last three years.
