Worker killed in Samangan coalmine cave-in

AIBAK (Pajhwok): A worker has been killed due to the collapse of a coalmine in the Dara-i-Sauf Bala district of northern Samangan province, police said on Monday.

In a statement, police spokesman Hashmatullah Rahmani said the miner was killed as a result of the mine collapse in the Shah Kol area of the district.

The victim was an inhabitant of northern Balkh province and his body was handed over to his relatives by local officials, he added.
