JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A man has been killed and six others, including a woman, have been wounded as a result of a traffic accident in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Saturday.
Police spokesman Syed Taib Hamad told Pajhwok Afghan News two Corolla-type vehicles collided in the Behsud district of the province on Friday night.
He said a man lost his life and six other people, including a woman, were wounded in the collision.
The police spokesman added the injured were evacuated to hospital by security forces.
Last week, police headquarters officials told a press conference that about 83 traffic accidents had occurred in the province over the last eight months.
They said at least 83 people lost their lives and 28 others were wounded in the accidents.
