KABUL (Pajhwok): The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has announced its diplomatic mission in Kabul has resumed operations.
The oil-rich kingdom had pulled out its diplomats from the country in the wake of the regime change in Afghanistan three years ago.
In a brief post on X. the embassy wrote the Saudi government had decided to reopen its diplomatic mission in Kabul as of December 22.
It said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia taken the decision to provide all possible services to the brotherly Afghan people.
After the resumption of Saudi consular services in Afghanistan in late 2021, the Saudi Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) is providing aid.
At a recent meeting with Saudi representatives, Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi had called for the expansion of bilateral relations.
