KABUL (Pajhwok): Hojat Sediqi, the attorney general of Taybad, a city in Iran's Khorasan Razavi province, says 30,820 illegal Afghan refugees were arrested at the shared borders before entering the country and were returned to Afghanistan last year.
IRNA news agency quoted Sediqi as saying that these people were sent back to Afghanistan through Dogharun after being arrested.
“These illegal migrants were arrested before entering Iran.”
He claimed, the number of Afghans who wanted to illegally enter Iran had significantly decreased compared to the same period last year.
