MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): The municipality in northern Balkh province closed 14 bakeries in the city over violating its policy on Sunday.
In a statement, Mazar-i-Sharif Municipality said the Market and Development Department monitored price lists, hygiene and bread weights at bakeries in the eighth district of the city.
During this inspection, 14 bakeries were closed for violating municipal regulations, despite several previous recommendations, the statement added.
It said all businesses in Mazar-e-Sharif are required to fully implement and enforce the municipality’s regulations. Violations will be dealt with legally and in accordance with the principles.
