KABUL (Pajhwok): The Land Grab Prevention Commission (LGPC) wrested back more than 32,614.5 acres of state land from grabbers in 11 provinces of the country during the past one month, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) announced on Monday.
MoJ wrote on its X handle LGPC reclaimed more than 32,614.5 acres state land and handed it over to relevant authorities in Kunduz, Jawzjan, Takhar, Ghazni, Ghor, Paktia, Khost, Zabul, Wardak, Bamyan and Panjsher provinces.
It said most of the reclaimed lands measuring about 6,642.5 acres were located in Ghazni province.
The ministry said the technical delegation of the Land Grab Prevention Commission had also identified more than 73,396.5 acres of state land in 18 provinces and about 231,602.5 acres is under investigation in 29 provinces.
The Ministry of Justice said the process of investigation, consolidation and restoration of state lands was ongoing in all provinces of the country.
