Heavy snowfall, rainfall predicted in 16 provinces

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Transportation and Civil Aviation (MoTCA) has predicted heavy snowfall and rainfall in 16 provinces on Monday.

On its X handle, MoTCA wrote that heavy rainfall and snowfall will likely lash Ghor, Helmand, Kandahar, Zabul, Uruzgan, Daikundi, Ghazni, Paktika, Paktia, Logar, Maidan Wardak, Parwan, Baghlan, Panjsher, Kapisa and Kabul provinces.

The amount of snowfall in different places is expected to be between 10 and 40 centimeters and the amount of rainfall in different places is expected to be between 15 and 30 millimeters.

The ministry also wrote that in western provinces, including Salang, there is a possibility of strong winds, the speed of which is expected to be between 50 and 75 kilometers per hour in different places.
