During the conference, businesspeople discussed their issues and officials from eastern provinces shared information about opportunities for the development of trade.

Maulvi Mustafa said that entrepreneurs held the key to the country's economic development, and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) had provided them with security and other facilities.

He said, "The government is making efforts at national and international levels to solve the problems of entrepreneurs; we have given special attention to the protection of the lives and property of businessmen, and specific strides have been taken to ensure security."

According to him, 10,000 acres of land has been identified in Nangarhar province for construction of factories, which will be given to businesspeople.

On the other hand, Laghman governor Sheikh Sher Ahmad Haqqani also spoke about trade and investment opportunities in the province.

He emphasized that alongside opportunities in trade and industry, there were also abundant resources in agriculture and livestock in Laghman.

Maulvi Mukhtyar Faisal, the deputy governor of Nuristan, cited investment opportunities in precious and semi-precious stones in his province, stating that Nuristan has rich mines, and through proper investment, both Nuristan and the country's economy could benefit.

A representative of the International Labor Organization (ILO) in Afghanistan said that women's participation in trade and industry is currently very important in Afghanistan, and the IEA has provided a good environment for this.

The ILO appreciates the government for its efforts in this regard.

Conference participants welcomed the government's efforts to resolve issues in trade and investment sectors and emphasized that businesspeople should collectively strive to strengthen the country's economy.

Hazrat Wali Hadawal, \Deputy Head of Nangarhar Chamber of Commerce, stated that businessmen are facing numerous problems related to visas, travel abroad, and international trade, and the government must address these issues.

Dr. Mukhlis Ahmad, a member of the Nangarhar Chamber of Commerce and Investment, said that the government must eliminate obstacles facing trade and industry, particularly focusing on solving problems related to transit and transportation with Pakistan.

On the other hand, Khan Jan Alkozai, a member of the executive board of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, urged businessmen from the eastern provinces to submit their problems in writing to them, so that they could share them with relevant ministries, such as Commerce, Finance, Transport, and the Deputy Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister, for their solution.
