ANDMA inks agreement worth over $11.456m with IRC

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA) has signed an agreement worth more than $11,456,000 with the International Rescue Committee (IRC).

In a statement, ANMDA said ANMDA chief Mullah Nooruddin Torabi met with IRC Director Shirin Hassan Ibrahim on Monday.

At this meeting, Torabi explained aid should continue so that people could benefit from services.

Meanwhile, International institutions and organizations should continue to cooperate with ANDMA, Ms. Shirin said.

According to ANDMA, an agreement valued $11,456,257 was signed between ANDMA and IRC.

Based on the memorandum, cash aid will be distributed to needy families in Kabul, Bamyan, Logar, Khost, Paktia, Helmand, Herat, Badghis, Kunduz, Nangarhar and Laghman provinces.
