Volleyball tournament between 12 teams held in Logar

PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): A volleyball tournament featuring 12 best teams concluded in the provincial capital of central Logar province, an official said on Tuesday.

Engineer Muzammil Naeemzai, Logar Physical Training and Sports Department director, told Pajhwok that 12 best volleyball teams and dozens of players participated in the competitions.

He added the competitions lasted three days, with Ittihad Gulangar team emerging champions.

According to him, the event was aimed at promoting volleyball game and enabling players to share experiences and create coordination.

Ahmad Faisal, a player, told Pajhwok he was happy with the organization of the Winter Cup volleyball competition and stressed that similar competitions should be organized at the provincial level.

He said such competitions could strengthen the experience and relationships between volleyball players.

Previously, the Logar Department of Physical Education and Sports had organized a volleyball competition named Khazan Jam between 33 teams at the provincial level.
