GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): A woman has given birth to quadruplets in the Qarabagh district of southern Ghazni province, an official said on Thursday.
Dr. Mohammad Zahid Saeed, director of the provincial hospital, told Pajhwok Afghan News a resident of Nai Qala area gave birth to four babies on Wednesday.
He added, "The mother gave birth at the Civil Hospital before being shifted to the Provincial Hospital for better post-natal care."
He added the newborns included three baby girls and a boy, who were in satisfactory condition.
The father of the newborns, Shahabuddin Shahab, told Pajhwok: "I am pleased that Allah has blessed me with four babies at once, and my wife’s health condition is good."
Earlier in the week, a woman had given birth to quadruplets in eastern Kunar province.
