KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) views Iranian Foreign Minister Sayed Abbas Araghchi’s planned visit to Kabul as a constructive step towards boosting bilateral relations.
The Iranian Embassy in Kabul announced Thursday morning that Araghchi would soon arrive in Afghanistan. However, the embassy did not provide the exact date of Araghchi’s trip.
Zakir Jalali, a senior official at MoFA, wrote on his X handle that political, economic and security interests of the two nations offered an opportunity to boost bilateral cooperation.
He added: “The imminent visit of Mr. Sayed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s foreign minister, to Kabul is a constructive step in strengthening these relations and could take ties between the two countries to a new phase.”
