FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Construction work has been initiated on a standard cargo truck terminal estimated to cost 40 million afghanis at Sheikh Abu Nasr Farahi port in western Farah province.
The provincial Information and Culture Department made the announcement in a statement sent to the media.
It said the project would cost 40m afs and would take six months to complete.
The statement added the terminal was being built on 500 acres of land in a fundamental manner.
Necessary facilities would be provided to traders, drivers and cargo trucks with the execution of the project, the statement concluded.
Construction work has been kicked off on similar projects in several other provinces as well.
