Day-long boxing contests among 64 players held in Logar

PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): A day-long boxing matches between 64 players have been held in central Logar province, an official said on Saturday.

Muzamil Naeemzai, deputy head of the Logar Physical Training and Sports Department, said the day long competition was held by the provincial boxing federation between 64 players.

He added that these competitions were organized for the purpose of improvement, sharing experiences between athletes, as well as encouraging young people in sports.

Naeemzai added that compared to the past, the number of sports in Logar has increased considerably.

Karimullah, one of the players said that he was happy that a one-day competition of boxing was held among dozens of the best and most well-known athletes in the province.

He added that it was necessary to organize such competitions in the districts as well as in the center.

Five days ago, the futsal competition between 10 teams has started in Logar and will last for a week.
